STAINLESS STEEL FLANGE

STAINLESS STEEL FLANGE MANUFACTURERS & SUPPLIERS
HydroFlange is most trusted and famous manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel Flange with an ISO 9001:2008 and PED Certifications.
INTRODUCTION
Stainless Steel Flange is a Steel Alloy Flange which consists 10.5% of chromium content. As we know Flange are created with an intention to join pipe sections to a whole plant system like pressure valve, vessel or pump. Well, Stainless Steel Flange are widely used for they give the most excellent resistance to corrosion. Majorly useful in cutlery and food handling applications, stainless doesn’t rusts or stains as normal regular steel. Anyhow, Stainless Steel is not completely dependable in high saline or low oxygen environments. HydroFlange produces Stainless Steel Flange with class ratings in sizes DN 15 (NPS ½”) through DN 400 (NPS 16”). Also large Steel Flange ranging from DN 1500 (NPS 60”) to class 2500 are available. Our standard stocks include 304L and 316L Stainless Steel Flange. HydroFlange also manufactures Cr-Mo, nickel alloys, low temperature alloys and duplex grades. Along with this, our supplementary items include material certificates which according to the standard levels.

API vs. ASME/ANSI Standards
To begin with, let’s clear the misconception among API and ASME/ANSI standards. The flange which meet API standards have material difference which handle high-pressure with those who have ASME/ANSI standard flange. To be specific, API Standard flange are more effectively used in gas and oil industries. Whereas, ASME/ANSI standards are more common while working with air, water and steam at industrial areas.

Austenitic Steel Flange

Also known as 200 or 300 series, Stainless Steels have an austenitic crystalline structure which actually is a cubic crystal having face center structure. There are over 70% of austenite steel out of the whole stainless steel production. There is 0.15% carbon, 16% chromium and enough.

200 Series Flange

These are austenitic chromium nickel manganese alloys. Another type 201, is a hard one which is due to cold working. Type 202 is the regular Stainless Steel Flange. The corrosive resistant property of Stainless Steel gets weak when nickel content is less and manganese content is more.

300 Series Flange

Another widely used austenite steel is 300, 304 which is also known as 18/8 for it has 18% chromium matter and 8% nickel matter in it. This is also referred as A2 Stainless and the next widely used austenite steel is 316 grade.

Ferritic Stainless Steels Flange

Ferritic Stainless Steels have much higher mechanical properties than Austenitic Steel. However, they have less corrosion resistant property and are also cheap in price. Ferritic Stainless Steel has a cubic crystal body center system which has 10.5%-27% of chromium and less alloy matter.

Martensitic Stainless Steels Flange

Despite being anti-corrosive, martensitic Stainless Steels are really tough and strong and highly mechanized. They can be made harder by heat treatment. These type of steels have 12-14% of chromium, 0.2-1% of molybdenum and 2% of nickel.
